Faith and Religion

$0.99Price

Love, Not Religion, Saves

What is religion?  You need to know.

It's laws to keep us in place.

And they are so controlling,

There’s no room left for faith.

What is faith? You must know that, too.

Can it not stand alone?

Why the need for religion,

When faith can serve on its own?

Again, what is religion?

And from where does it come?

All its rituals and laws to control,

By men, were purposefully done.

Then there is faith again,

But by some only in the laws.

Believers say they're “God-given,”

To govern humanity’s flaws.

And how were they given?

By God “speaking” to one person alone.

And to prove they were “holy,”

They came carved on tablets of stone.

At a time when few could read.

But, even if they came from God,

The people ceased to care.

The laws were only followed,

When personal gain was available there.
