Families
Our Brotherly Love
I’ve been blessed to have a Big Brother,
Who’s been there my whole life long.
As my real-life Guardian Angel,
Our bond is loving and strong.
When young, he protected me,
Controlling a bully one day.
I was never much of an athlete,
So he’d help me when we’d play.
He even explained, “The birds and the bees.”
He’d talked with our dad, you see.
Even he relied upon him,
And told him to explain to me.
In our early years, we were close.
No one could come between.
After school, there were farm chores,
With a big barn to clean.
We’d play in the fields and pastures,
After finishing our tasks for the day.
Our youth passed in contentment,
Running free in a country way.
